Exploring the Beauty of Belize
Welcome to Cabana Mike
My name is Mike and I’m excited to share my adventures with you all around Belize.
I’ve been visiting Belize each year for many years, but in February of 2022, I moved down to Belize on the island of San Pedro.
I’m staying at an amazing overwater resort called Lina Point. If you’re heading to Belize, you should check it out as you can save 10% off just by using my promo code: cabanamike
I’m also going to share my favorite places to visit, restaurants to eat, and the best shopping areas.
Belize is a small country located on the eastern coast of Central America. It’s only 8,867 square miles.
It is just south of Cancun and Tulum in Eastern Mexico and also backs up to the country of Guatemala.
Belize has the beautiful Caribbean Sea shoreline to the east and a vibrant jungle to the west.
Belize has a large barrier reef with lots of small islands called cayes. I live on Ambergris Caye at the Lina Point Overwater Resort. It’s a great place to go snorkeling, diving, fishing, and anything water sport related. It is also home to Belize’s Blue Hole, which is one of the largest sinkholes in the world.
Belize’s jungle’s are home to many Mayan ruins. The Mayan ruin Caracol is known for its towering pyramid. You also have the ruins of Altun Ha, which are just outside of Belize City.
The country is divided into six districts: Corozal, Orange Walk, Belize, Cayo, Stann Creek, and Toledo. I live in the city of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye in the district of Belize. You can see it on the map.
WHY SAN PEDRO ON AMBERGRIS CAYE?
Sometimes you have to see it to understand. These are my daily views:
